I don’t have any sudo needing app that opens a gui, so I don’t know.

I know a lot of people will freak out about this and bitch about security. I know, but on my system, with only family and everyone having their own logins, I just don’t care. The benefits (for me) outweigh the risks. Anyway, that aside, I have edited my /etc/sudoers file and added the equivalent of:

ceiron       ALL=(ALL)  NOPASSWD:ALL

I still have to run sudo for root apps (99% of what I do is command line), but I don’t have to type in a password every time. As I said, obvious security risk, so you decide if it’s worth it.

Seems like just a few years ago it felt like people were tuning in to the coming disaster. Haven’t seen so much chatter lately.

I have no idea how mp3split works, but this might help. If it fails gracefully, you could just do something like

for mp3file in *mp3; do
    textfile="$(mp3file%.*}.txt"
    mp3split -A "$textfile" "$mp3file"
done

If it doesn’t fail gracefully, you’ll just have to put a test in there before the mp3split. Something like (this is untested, off the top of my head. May not work, but it should give you an idea):

for mp3file in *mp3; do
    textfile="$(mp3file%.*}.txt"
    if [ -f "$textfile" ]; then
       mp3split -A "$textfile" "$mp3file"
    fi
done

That version is by far the best. The current one is a dumber Person Of Interest.

The best thing about Hawkeye was the Florence Pough (sp?) character. Just pure comedy.

Always thought those were two sides of the same coin.

I actually watched several episodes of the British original and thought it was fine. I didn’t go out and find the rest to watch or anything, but it was fine. That said, I think watching the original made it hard for me to watch the American version of the show. I have a lot of trouble watching a show if I’ve already read the book(s) for a similar reason.

It took me several attempts to watch parks & rec. It ended up being one my favorite. I’ve tried The Office a couple times and couldn’t do it. Same with Sunny.

I was thinking the other day that if the median decline in quality of life had taken place over a handful of years vs several generations, the fightback would have still been there. The slow decline seems to have just sapped all will, belief, and even values.

Well, that doesn’t sound great for someone who will have to answer questions if he holds the position. On the other hand, it sounds like he’d fit in great with this current administration.

It’s such a dichotomy. Women get catcalled every day and feel uncomfortable and harassed. Understandable. The average man gets catcalled a handful of times in his life and cherishes those moments almost as much as their children’s births.

That is such a great book. I’ve liked a lot of his other books, liked them a lot, but Ministry… is just another level.

Before I went to University one of my parent’s University friends told me that my dad got laid a lot back in the day. Like looked me in the eye for emphasis when he said,“A LOT!” I didn’t have the best relationship with my dad, but before I went off to higher learning, I broached the subject with him. “How?” was my basic question.
