Functional changes in coloration are much “easier” (read: more likely) to develop through random mutation than functional changes to complex mechanical structures like bone structure or musculature. Given their predecessors were already under selective pressure by predation for millions of years prior, it’s reasonable to assume they’d developed countershading (light bottom, dark top). Plus current agnathans are usually pretty dull.

Edit: oh geez, I misunderstood your message. It totally could have been a rainbow party blimp. That mostly depends on what their habitat was like.

  • Keep in mind it manifests differently for everyone. I have it pretty mildly, so it’s fairly well managed through guanfacine, a similarly mild medication, and lifestyle changes. The only reason my psychiatrist and I know I have it is it “flares up” pretty badly when I’m stressed and my life easily goes off the rails as I increasingly begin to exhibit more ADHD behavior.

It’s also possible you don’t have it as neurotypical folk experience most ADHD symptoms from time to time, just with less frequency and severity.

  • As well as employers contacting the university for verification, graduates can request their university send certified copies of their transcripts and diplomas. It’s also possible for candidates to supply an unofficial transcript that can be later verified.

The context of the thread is few employers seem to question if educations are legitimate, not that they suspect they’re fake. The point I’m making is that not only are they not verifying information with my university, they’re not even asking me to substantiate anything, official or otherwise.
