Obstructing traffic is not an effective means of protest. Target actual agents and entities associated with the oil industry, not the victims.

They are effective and bring about awareness among other things.

I am telling you when their trend started. Norway’s consumption has not increased, it is down on 2018, as I said. It had a slight decline in 2023 (the increase between 2020 and 2022 is when people stopped driving during COVID then came back to restart its downward trend).

Japan’s decline since then is commensurate with its population decline.

Actually no, if you know what commensurate means. The population has dropped around 4% since 2008, yet oil consumption has been decreasing since 1996.

Germany is similar in terms of consumption, Sweden likewise.

If that is the only metric you are looking it, kind of. It slumped during COVID and has looked like it’s tailing off somewhat. Without tax breaks, subsidies and support for other forms of transport, say, we will not shake our dependence.

But, we can look at specific countries and see if those things have helped on a national scale, like Norway, for example, which has seen consumption decline since 2018. And Sweden. And Japan. And Germany. And…

Sounds about right; I’ve seen one retailer here offered cases for the new Switch, so I am assuming it will launch spring 2025, summer at the latest. The triggers looked a little different, perhaps the same as other consoles for better control in racing games.

Halls of Torment and Brotato are both similar to Vampire Survivors, but better in my opinion. Great art styles and the weapon system in Brotato is really fun.

Casual-wise, story-based games are nice, like Frog Detective, Florence and the like.

I stepped away from that creepy shit when I noticed just how awful Google (search) and Gmail have become, a complete contrast to how it was originally. Now it’s Fastmail and Duckduckgo, and everything is so much cleaner.

Yes, I should have clarified that as non-physical/digital media. Current platforms are a rough equivalent of renting movies.

Books: a variety of ways to purchase, with products a uniform quality. Yes, the file sizes are tiny, but it’s true, they are as they should be, they are adjustable to the device you use, and have extra - useful - features because of digitalisation.

Audio: a variety of services offering pretty much the same stuff. Spotify is basic but works. Tidal is higher quality. My disappointment comes from the fact that it is still region-dependent, I cannot sign up for Tidal where I am. There is also stuff like Bandcamp for those who want to be ‘closer’.

That’s basically what I want, and what should exist. File sizes aren’t much different to modern day games, people are also willing to pay if the quality is there.

I wish there were more/better/good choices for streaming video. We already have decent solutions for audio, games and books/audiobooks, yet video seems to be lagging behind, hugely.
